My wife and I took an 11 day trip to Greece, visiting Athens, Crete and Santorini and had a fantastic trip!. This was our 2nd trip booking thru Kimkim and we came away once again very happy and satisfied. Christos and his team did a great job creating a custom trip to our specific requests and making all arrangements for us both before and during our trip. Their support was invaluable. Though not everything went off exactly as planned, they were always available to make adjustments as necessary and never left us hanging. We would arrive into a new city or village and ask for recommendations for restaurants and they would respond in minutes with suggestions and would even make reservations for us.
Each day was a perfect balance of planned events and free time to experience the local atmosphere. The hotels were each outstanding in their own way. A number of the activities had local, personal guides who added so much to the experience with their knowledge and helped orient us to each area so we could enjoy it so much more on our own.
We highly recommend Kimkim to everyone we meet during our travels and anyone reading this review.

Wow!! Our trip to Greece was AMAZING! Everything that was prepared in advance was perfect. Every hotel, all transfers and pickups, etc all exceeded our expectations by a lot. We couldn't have had a better trip! There were a couple mishaps of our own fault not being where we needed to be for the start of a couple private tours.(We got turned around and lost.) Not a problem. Within minutes someone from KimKim called and got us where we needed to be. We are very grateful to KimKim for a truly wonderful experience!

Wow...it is hard to write about all the amazing experiences we had without writing a novel. From the beginning Christos was curious and interested in knowing about us so he could really personalize the trip. He gave options, asked questions, got on the phone so we could work out some of the intricacies... attentive and genuinely curious...he wanted this trip to be magical. And it was! Other notes about Christos and travel12 (the on the ground support) were little touches like having our boarding passes for the following day printed at our hotels when we arrive, checking in to ask how the trip is going, and fast responses when we did have questions.

The first week of the trip was self planned. Christos coordinated a rental car and Kyros at Kosmos rental car was so easy to work with. He called me when we landed and told me exactly how to find him. It was a smooth and caring transition after a 19 hour flight. This week included Monemvasia, a full tour of the Mani peninsula, sea kayaking in Kardimyli, Mycenae, Nafplio, and so many wonderful beaches, tavernas, and new friends.

The Athens/parthenon day of the trip was interesting (hot and tiring as well but it was also August). We did the mythology tour with Eleni as a host and learned a lot, had fun seeing the sites while also learning. Christos booked us a wine tasting dinner that evening at Cinque wine bar. The wines were wonderful, the food was delicious, the parings were unique and the education about Greek wine making was fantastic. The staff were all so friendly and it was proper greek dinner (3 hours of leisurely enjoying and being with family and friends).

On to Meteora! Words lack for the absolute wonder that is Meteora. Our guide... the only one whose name I don't remember but her style and knowledge were off the charts! She was really wonderful, answered questions, gave us time where we were curious and made sure to get us to a sunset view (even skipped the crowded one and took us to a better spot). We were super hungry as the tour wrapped up so she drove us to her favorite local taverna and made sure we knew how to get to our hotel after dinner. Our hotel was sweet and a lovely picturesque spot. We were comfortable and slept so well!

Delphi...my body still feels the energy there. The tour was an evening tour which was perfect! there weren't many people, it was cooler and we had time to really take it in. We started at the museum and Marillia walked us through giving us a history lesson and answering our many questions. She was mindful to move through the museum in a way where we weren't with multiple other tours. We appreciated this for multiple reasons (covid, over stimulation, and we could actually see the pieces we were talking about). As we walked to the oracle we were really able to feel and be with the energy of the space. Marillia was also interested in the ways that energy transmits and talked about her experience of Delphi as someone who doesn't live there but goes there to work 1-2x/week. It is a place where you feel shifts in you. I had a calm and curious energy and my partner has an active/excited energy. It was really unique. The temples/ruins are stunning and the views are breathtaking. The federales hotel was a sweet little spot. The room was small but perfect for one night. the view from the balcony was amazing!

Xania was a different world. We stayed in an Airbnb in the old town center and the streets were packed with people! It was an amazing experience to walk through the town and see ruins and new buildings intermixed. The botanical gardens were absolutely amazing! We had so much fun walking through and experiencing the many plants and then a truly delicious meal. The beaches of Crete are truly unique and beautiful.

The drive from Xania to Iraklio was beautiful. We made a stop in Rythemno and then decided to keep going and find a little taverna where we could swim and get fresh fish. We were not disappointed in our stop. In Iraklio we spent a day at the castle of Knossos. Lina was a delight. She knew the rhythm of the crowds at Knossos and she moved us around the ruins so that we could really see and enjoy it fully. It was one of the most spectacular of the many ruins. I only wish we had the time to go to the other castles on Crete.

Thera...you really don't get it until you get here. Constantinos was our driver from the boat to the hotel and into Oia. He was so lovely. He told us about the geography of the area and what he fell in love with and brought him to the island. He was sweet and worked with us as we got to the hotel and had a little timing conundrum. Oia was beautiful and interesting. We were admittedly done with tourist spots at this point so we took the time to focus on gifts we wanted to get for people and enjoyed a few hours of shopping and cafes/tavernas. We watched the sunset from our hotel, Kasimatis suites. Christos did us right on this one. We were in Imerovigli, highest point, and the view was absolutely breathtaking. The waterless farming tour with Ana was an absolute highlight of the trip. She was so sweet and dedicated to what she loves. Her family, her land, and her food. She taught us about the way they do anhydrous farming. How it changes the flavors and textures of the food. And the cooking/sharing a meal portion of the day really brought the group together. Ana was really good at asking the group questions that sparked deeper conversation and created a sense of family for a day. the wineries were really interesting and the tastings were enjoyable. What I took from this day is the absolute loveliness that was Ana's love and passion.

Greetings, Christos. The trip you arranged for us through the Peloponnese was wonderful. I gave the trip 5 stars even though two nights' accommodations were less than we would have expected. The other reviewers have commented on the Bacchus and the apartment in Monemvasia. The excursions were good and the restaurant choices were all great. You all did a great job of anticipating the types of places we would like. Kostas did a fantastic job for us - both professional and fun to travel with. The nights staying in the castle of Monemvasia were monumental~ Thank you Cristos for setting up the lovely and interesting wine tasting at Byrons. the sea-kyacking trip was a pure delight and George and Roque were informed and skillful guides- swimming in the caves was real delight. Upon arrival room wasn’t ready which is understanding. The hotel receptionist told us to come back and when we did she told me it still wasn’t ready and kind of had an attitude. There was a lovely view of the sunset and caldera from the front porch. Mysteriously, they didn't have washcloths, so if that's important to you, you'll have to bring your own. :-)

The only thing I would add to the tour descriptions is that you should bring shoes with good grippy soles as some of the marble and stone cobbles on the streets can be slippery even... read more

Great location, beautiful area, however the room had a bright orange exit light that could not be turned off right by the exit to the room and made it hard to sleep. They also gave us the wrong breakfast one day, which caused a delay in our plans for the day, unfortunately. Otherwise they were extremely helpful, even finding me an ENT on the island to see in an emergency. The staff were extremely friendly, the facility was very clean, and the location couldn't be beat.

Beautiful ride, but kind of a packed 'sailboat' which was actually running on a motor. There were ~50 people on the boat and not many places to sit. Honestly, not sure I would recommend this. The sights were nice, and the dinner was good, but it was just so crowded on the boat and I felt like we were just being herded around.

Had Will as our tour guide with another couple and he kept us laughing. Was great about pointing out unique facts of Santorini (often while singing or rhyming) and the four of us had wished he had been able to join us on wine tasting. Constantly taking pictures of us with our cameras so have great memories of the blue and white buildings and highest point of island.

Be prepared to take yourself back to the days of Abba. Natalia and Lexi were gracious hosts on the boat and Captain Yiannis made sure we saw all the red, white and black beaches plus the hot springs where we covered ourselves with mud. Cocktails were flowing and dancing on the deck while sun set was such a memory! Great food and we all bonded with one another celebrating a 25th anniversary, a couple of birthdays, and hopefully future engagements.

We had good experiences with every driver and guide that was scheduled for us. Our favorite hotel that we stayed at was the Lagos Mare in Naxos and our favorite tour guide was Spiros, also in Naxos. I know it sounds over the top, but I honestly wouldn’t change a thing about our trip! Even traveling with 4 children, it was all easy and stress free.

Favorite tour of our trip! We loved our guide Spiros and it was so fun to be led to the best food on the island while also touring a bit of the area as well.

From the initial trip planning to all execution to the simplest details was taken care off very well by Christos and the team.

We had a great 9 day trip. I normally dont use travel agents but this process far exceeded my expectations. Especially with covid protocols changing so often, he kept us to date and informed. It took all of the worrying out of the process.

All details very perfectly planned and thoroughly thought through. Christos’ attention to detail was amazing. All of his recommendations, planned excursion and day trips were spot on for our group. We could not have asked for a better trip.

I would recommend this tour to everyone, even if they have no strong interest in photography. Finally, a constructive criticism is in order. I don't think it's in your best interests to refer customers to the Acropolis Select Suites. The facility is not up to expected standards and the food is the worst I have experienced in all my travels.

I would change 2 things, it is very very confusing the ports in both Santorini and Mykonos, and there is long wait and hard to get luggage on boat and find seats,etc. This should be discussed and be clear from the beginning, although I asked for the ferry instead of the plane to save money, I think if I understood the hours lost and we had a short tour, I would have chose the planes.
The second thing, on last leg of the trip, port at Rafina to the hotel, it was not a far walk, but with luggage, 6 hours of traveling , later at night and iffy location, and a bit up hill I would have preferred a transfer here.

We enjoyed our trip very much and found the Travel12 team very responsive. The hotels were in great locations, but the rooms were very very small...especially the bathrooms. Other than that, all great. Although the two tours we had on Santorini were repetitive, we enjoyed the guides and our fellow tourists very much. We especially liked Sophia. She was extremely well informed and personable. Thank you for our great trip.

Our accommodations in Athens both on arrival and last night before departure were exceptional and what I had hoped for the entire trip. I thought by requesting the Grande Bretagne in Athens that Christo would know and understand what we expected. It also seemed that where we stayed in all 3 islands that our rooms were the less accessible and farthest away from all amenities. All excursions were good except out trip in Athens to Poseidon’s Temple. Driver was disinterested in us or I trip and because of bad advise we missed getting into Poseidon Temple for sunset although restaurant we ate ,at base of temple, was wonderful and we did have some outstanding sea bream. Our transfers in islands was not reliable but after calling each hotel that responded quickly. Katrina our tour guide in Naxos was exceptional and would highly recommend her also Catamaran Sunset Cruise in Santorini was good. It was getting close to end of season and after working 7 days a week since May they admitted they were about burned out. Not sure what Kimkim got as your percentage but felt considering our accommodations and seeing what they would have cost if we booked independently it seems maybe that Travel12 was probably a little high. We have booked with Keningston the last 3 years. They absolutely were much more expensive but all details were flawless and documents were sent well in advance. All that said I would use Kimkim again but would use much more due diligence on a personal basis than I did this trip. Thanks and please feel free to reach out to me if you like.

We had several terrific excursions, including a Greek history/mythology tour in Athens with Athens Insiders, a visit to a Mykonian farm with a traditional dinner afterward, a bike tour of Naxos' beautiful coastline (local guide Reno is fantastic!), and a boat tour of the caldera/volcano region in Santorini. Only caveat I would add is to be specific in your requests to the agency - e.g., hotel walkable to beach or town, etc. The Travel12 team was extraordinarily professional and responsive to all of our needs, particularly when issues cropped up with delayed planes etc as happens with travel. Much appreciation! We recommend Christos and the team without reservation.

Christos was very helpful with the planning of our trip to Greece. He was prompt with his responses and he listened and adjusted the itinerary according to our needs and requests. Everything went exactly as scheduled and when we had an issue with one of the excursions, he was understanding and did his best to handle things expeditiously. We visited Athens, Aegina, Hydra and Spetses. We thoroughly enjoyed each place, but the Hotel Rastoni in Aegina was especially beautiful. I would not hesitate to use kimkim again!

The tours set up by Christos and all transportation were 5 star . The drivers always had water available to us and gave us lot of info. Shout out to Alternative Athens for the tours especially our Tour guide Alex on our Mythology walking tour in Athens. He was so passionate about his job!
Our boat rides between islands were fun and the views unbelievable. Just make sure you have some Euros as the internet went down on our day trip to Balos and couldn't buy food on the boat!!

On Delos, the sights were good but there was not enough time to explore the ruins and go to the museum. To us the organized tours were not necessary.
In Santorini the Villa was beautiful and would have been a perfect place for a relaxing vacation but for our first time in Santorini, we felt it was too remote for the schedule we had and it would have been better for us to be in a hotel in the town center. Sophia was great and did her best to make us comfortable ( the electricity kept cutting off when we got there and the safe never worked) and welcome. The guide, Costas was excellent. The CATAMARAN Sunset cruise was the best and all the crew on the boat were fantastic.
The Palace of Knossos guide was very good too.
We enjoyed the 7 villages tour in Chania and the driver/guide who took us was also very good.

We had an amazing family vacation thanks to Christos. Greece is a beautiful country and thanks to Christos and his team (Kostas, Sophie, Spiro just to mention a few) we were able to enjoy all that it had to offer. In addition to excellent tours and experiences, Christos's team went out of their way to help us to surprise and celebrate by dad for his 70th birthday in Santorini. It was a memorable experience for everyone and a fantastic vacation!

We had a fantastic time in Greece and thought it was a great trip. The welcome dinner at ManiMani was superb, each dish better than the one before. The tour of Santorini's farm produce and wines with Anna was terrific; our trip to Delphi with Effie was also fabulous. Another highlight of the trip was the hotel in Ornus -- it was so delightful just to be there. I thoroughly enjoyed everything about it and the staff was great. We also had lovely people running the hotel in Kamari -- Mary was really delightful. We had some really great guides -- Kostas was wonderful at the Acropolis and very understanding when Marvin was having his spell. I also really enjoyed the tour of Akrotiri and the Palace at Knossos, and found the guides knowledgeable and capable of handling questions. I would suggest that perhaps more time be allotted to both of those sites, however, since it was very rushed and we didn't really get to savor things. I do understand that there are so many visitors and our guides were trying to stay ahead of the crowds -- this may not be something that could be fixed during a tour in May, but I offer it just in case. The museum in Knossos was fantastic, as was the National Archaeological museum (we visited it on our own). I had been told how great the Parthenon museum was and it did not disappoint. We took the suggestion of a friend and had lunch there, overlooking the Acropolis. That was really delightful and I recommend it to others.
One complaint i have, however, was our tour in Delos. I found the guide, Athena, was not particularly responsive to the group. Her accent was such that we had a great deal of difficulty understanding her, and hearing was also a problem. I would suggest that for a group of anything over 10, Assisted Listening Devices be used. I work in an art museum and that is our policy and it really makes it a much better experience. Everyone can hear; guides don't need to raise their voices to be heard. I would suggest that a Delos visit be longer, or at least people should be told that they could take the later ferry if they wanted. Since we had someone meeting us after the tour, I didn't realize that was an option.
I don't want my review to end on an extended complaint, however, since for the most part it was a wonderful trip and we enjoyed it immensely. We found the KimKim staff, as well as some of the local agencies, very responsive and for the most part, things went smoothly and we had a terrific vacation.

We started the trip with a free day in Mykonos and spent it at the Kahlua beach club, dinner at Busulas and out at Semeli that night. The next day was a trip to Delos Island. We had the most fabulous, authentic, amazing guide named Toula. We wanted to take her home and have her be our very own Greek grandmother. Took the speed ferry to Santorini and had a hidden Gem and Wine tour hosted by Manos, another great local guide and a tour we very much loved. Our favorite activity the following day... read more

Had a nice meal at Feedel and had our most authentic meal of the trip at "The Traditional". Stopped by Clumsies, Baba Au Rum and Noel for some cocktails along with Oinoscent wine bar to round out the trip. Had an amazing views in Meteora and could not get over the tranquility of the perfectly preserved monasteries. Overall we had zero hiccups, all of our drivers were on time, hotels reserved, tour guides punctual, and a great experience. It was a nice touch to get a welcome call once Travel 12 new we arrived. Will use this service again!

One suggestion for improvement, though, concerns the occasional lack of detail, on the schedule/ itinerary, regarding ferry transfers. It wasn't always clear where we needed to be and what to expect. Again, the others will likely be providing more specifics in this regard. Also, it might have been more sensible to have us in a hotel near the airport upon our late return from Heraklion on the final night. Presumably, availability and cost dictated the decision to have us in downtown Athens, at the Pi Hotel. This, by the way, was the least impressive of our hotels, although it was certainly acceptable.

I can assure you that we'll be recommending KimKim to friends and acquaintances. Thanks again for everything!

Great trip! It was all very memorable ,but if I have to say, the places that were most memorable: Acropolis, Delos Island, and the food/wine tasting on the farm in Santorini. On Mykonos: the Hotel Dorion was fabulous! We also loved the dinner the first night at Manimani --a splendid meal! Of our many guides, I think Effie at Delphi was the most knowledgeable. We also very much enjoyed our male guide in Santorini but I forget his name, unfortunately. Our driver in Santorini was also terrific--very friendly and eager to talk about the terrain, the architecture, the history of the island.

Christos was meticulous, responsive and patient in the planning process.
All logistics were taken care of with and all went smoothly.

I have traveled a lot internationally but this was the first trip that Christos from Kim Kim planed for me and three friends. It was the most amazing experience. The trip was planned very well and was pretty much worry free. Christos was available day and night to answer questions and help when needed. Best experience and customer service. Planning the trip was great! Christos gave us quite a few plans to pick from and tried to stay within our budget. We ended up picking a great package to Greece!

Our time in Athens was fantastic. We had an afternoon to check out the city. The following day, was our Mythology tour which included visits to the Temple of Zeus, the Acropolis, and the Agora. Our guide Marika was amazing! Very detailed tour and she stopped often to talk, so it was nice to give our legs a bit of a break. The only downfall was that although our breakfast was included at the hotel, we couldn't take advantage of it because our tour started early and then our ferry was leaving early the next day before we could have breakfast.

Then we went to Milos by ferry. We were in Milos on the weekend, so most places were closed. We were close to some shops and restaurants, but a little ways from Plaka. We ended up walking from our hotel to Plaka (an hour and a half walk, one way) which was a nice walk, but a lot of the shops were closed. Our hotel there was great though! Panos brought us breakfast in our room both mornings, a very nice spread of some traditional Greek foods as well as fresh orange juice and coffee. He also picked us up and dropped us off at the port and gave us tips on where to eat and how to get there.

Ferry to Santorini was pretty rough due to the enormous waves and high winds. Most of the passengers were sick on this ride, myself included. But we had reserved a shuttle from the port to our hotel, which was very close to the beach and many restaurants and shops. Not overcrowded. Our suite there was big, with a kitchenette and living room. Breakfast was also included which we got to enjoy only one morning since we were leaving early the second morning. We had a free morning on our first day in Santorini, so we enjoyed gift shopping and walking around. In the afternoon we had a Gems of Santorini and Wine Tour. This tour was fantastic! We got picked up just steps away from our hotel, and we were just a small group (only 6 of us). Our guide Sophia talked to us about the history of the island and brought us to the popular spots (Oia, Thira, the monastery, etc) and other places she believes get overlooked. Our driver would drop us off and we would walk around the towns to see some interesting buildings, and he would pick us up at a different spot (our guide wanted to make sure we didn't see the same thing twice). Our last stop was the winery. By this time I think we were all starving (since the tour started around 3 and lasted 5 hours) so I would recommend bringing a couple of snacks. Sophia gave us the scoop on the winery and how it all began. Then we enjoyed a wine tasting along with a charcuterie board. Perfect timing, as we then went up to watch the sunset and take lots of photos. It was a great way to end our trip. We were then dropped off again near our hotel.

I have already recommended Christos to my friends and family since we had such a wonderful experience planning our trip with him, and I will continue to rave about the hard work he put in to put together the perfect plan for us.
