Our Team

Andrej Ciho
Program Director/Mechanic

Andrej, his wife Jessica and their three children live in the historic South Atlanta. Volunteering his time, Andrej started the South Atlanta Bike Shop in the spring of 2010 in response to the challenges facing urban youth in his neighborhood. Before moving forward with the idea he spent time listening to his neighbors and other non-profit leaders to ensure the bike shop would be with and of instead of just for the neighborhood community.

Evan Riley
Assistant Mechanic

Evan (17) was one of the first youth that came through the doors of the bike shop. He was the most consistent one to come and consequently the first one to earn enough points for a bicycle. He was also the only student mechanic who trained for and participated in the Cycle of Love 2010, our 160+ mile fundraiser bike ride.

Proven by his track record, he was offered a part time job at the bike shop as an assistant mechanic. He continues to grow as a mechanic, leader and an agent of change in our neighborhood.

Volunteers

In addition, We are very thankful to have a number of great long term volunteers from the COPS unit of Atlanta PD, McAfee School of Theology, and from our neighborhood.
