When you land in Slovenia, transfer directly to Lake Bohinj to begin your adventure there. Spend the next few days exploring the area, including hiking around the lake and visiting nearby Lake Bled. Other nearby options include swimming in the lake, taking a gondola up to Vogel Ski Center to enjoy the view, and canoeing, kayaking, or stand-up paddleboarding.
Next, spend a day hiking in Triglav National Park. Trek up to Vršič Pass, and spend the night nearby before descending into the Soča River Valley, where you'll find Bovec, Slovenia's outdoor sports capital.
