My name is Xheni and I have studied Foreign Languages, French and English specifically and one of my profiles is being a translator. I have done this for a long time and I can say that I am in love with it because it has helped me a lot to discover different cultures, to communicate with other people and to explore their traditions and viewpoints. Translating made me connect with the tourism branch even more and start a new exploration era that is definitely very intriguing for everyone. Tourism is a highly dynamic and full of adrenaline field.
Tourism, similarly to translation, is the connecting bridge with the mankind, landscapes, nature, culture and gastronomy. It is a tool to discover the vivid colors of cities, the clever and noisy youth and the uniqueness of the people all around the globe as if I were in the process of translating a book full of stories and characters. For years now, I create and prepare custom made trips for travelers interested in Albania, Kosovo, North Macedonia and Montenegro.

How did you get involved in travel?
"I have started travelling initially to visit every corner of my country, Albania and later on the Balkans and Europe. Travelling enriches the mind and soul just like the books do. Kosovo, Montenegro and North Macedonia are the countries that resemble the most with Albania and at the same time have their own unique beauties and attractive sites. Their geographical position allows me to organize many different activities such as kayaking, caving, paragliding, hiking, biking, 4 x 4 and of course cultural tours."

We had a fantastic time in Albania! The sights and beaches were terrific. Kakome bay was spectacular, Gjirokaster was extremely interesting and notably, getting an opportunity to drink Turkish coffee and Raki with the proprietor from the Zekate house was a real highlight for us.

50th anniversary - visit homeland of my familly

The goal of our trip was to visit the area of Albania where my grandparents lived before emigrating to the US and become acquainted with Albanian culture and history. Alban,our guide , was extremely knowledgeable and we accomplished everything we set out to do and more.
Hopefully we will return to Albania someday -it is a beautiful country and the people are wonderful!

My partner and I spent 14 wonderful days touring Kosovo and Albania.
This was booked through KimKim Travel. The reason we chose KimKim was that they used a local company to organise the itinerary and the travel details.
