Overview
Hotel Corallo is perched on a cliff in Sant'Agnello just outside the center of Sorrento, overlooking the Gulf of Naples. Tasso Square, with its many restaurants and cafés, is a 5-minute drive or 25-minute walk. The hotel also offers shuttles to take guests to the center. This historic building dates back to the early 1900s, when it was opened as the Hotel Cappuccini, which served as a meeting place for artists and intellectuals like Nobel Prize-winning author Luigi Pirandello. Naples and Mount Vesuvius are an hour's drive away, and the ruins of Pompeii are 40.
Custom-made furnishings and majolica pottery add a feeling of historic elegance to the bright rooms. All except for Standard Rooms have partial or full sea views, and if you're looking to feel that sea breeze, book a Superior, Deluxe, or Executive Room or a Suite for balconies or terraces. Suites have large terraces with sun loungers, where you can book a candlelight dinner. Triples, Quadruples, and Two-Bedroom Apartments are ideal for larger parties of four or five. All bathrooms have rainfall showers and bidets, and the Suites come with a hydromassage bathtub overlooking the sea.
This hotel's standout feature is its view, which you can enjoy from your room or public areas like the infinity pool, breakfast area, or terrace. For this reason, it's quite popular as a location for weddings, which means you may be listening to a live band well into the night, so bring earplugs if you're a light sleeper.
