Overview
Kimkim's Take
- Just down Calle Zaragoza from Plaza Nueva, the hotel features an ideal location close to it all, as 10 minutes of walking gets you to Muelle de la Sal on the waterfront, Plaza del Cabildo, the Catedral de Seville, and Puente de Triana.
- The hotel is a converted palace house with typical Andalusian architecture and decor, so you'll find a beautiful courtyard with marble columns, leafy plants, and colorful tiles.
- The on-site restaurant prepares a daily breakfast buffet, which looks (and tastes) gourmet and comes with coffee from the bar.
- All rooms, even the standard category, feature stately decor, though you can upgrade to apartments (great for families) or rooms with a private tiled terrace and orange trees.
- Nearby parking is available, a unique perk for historic downtown Seville.
- Many boutique hotels in Seville offer rooftop terraces, but this hotel doesn't have one.
Authenticity
This boutique hotel gives off a feeling of luxury, as it's a converted palace house with restored architecture and elegant interiors. The stately home gets its name from the Admiral of the Spanish Navy, Federico Gravina. You'll find typical Andalusian details, like a beautiful courtyard, marble columns, and royal-green tiling.Location
You'll find Hotel Gravina 51 in the El Arenal neighborhood, steps away from Plaza Nueva, meaning you can walk to all the major sites and a few spots often overlooked by visitors. In just 10 minutes or less, you can visit the Muelle de la Sal on the waterfront, Plaza del Cabildo, the Catedral de Seville, or Puente de Triana. As a bonus, El Arenal and Triana districts are perfect for a tapear (tapas walk from bar to bar).Rooms & Bathrooms
One thing we love about this boutique hotel is that all the rooms, even the most standard category, feel elegant. So no matter your budget, you can enjoy a comfortable space with stately decor. Of course, you can always upgrade your room, as there are some with private terraces and an option for two-bedroom apartments—perfect for families or small groups. Bathrooms feel a little small, but that might be because all have bathtub-shower combos and two sinks.Amenities
Although the hotel doesn’t have a pool or spa, you’ll find all the basic necessities covered. One thing that sets the hotel apart is that it is pet-friendly and even offers pet beds and bowls for your furry companion. Another highlight of the property is that it offers parking, a handy perk for a hotel in the historic city center. The hotel is also wheelchair accessible, with rooms suitable for those with mobility needs.Family-Friendliness
Children of all ages are welcome at the hotel. Family rooms are available, and you can also arrange babysitting services for a fee with the hotel. The breakfast buffet and room service have kid-friendly options.Other Highlights
Enjoy a daily breakfast buffet prepared by the hotel's restaurant using 100% local products, known as a "blessed breakfast." It looks and tastes gourmet and features coffee and espresso from the on-site bar.Like what you see?
