Nick Jansen

After I studied tourism in The Netherlands I moved to Malaysia to live in the tropics and organize memorable trips for travelers. I love exploring this beautiful country and I enjoy sharing my tips and tricks with travelers.

What places and activities do you specialize in?

"I am happy to organise any trip through Malaysia. I specialise in custom-made trips to suit the travelers need. I am always keen to include trips to homestays, where the traveler can spend some quality time with the locals of Malaysia."

How did you get involved in travel?

"I studied Tourism Management in The Netherlands and in my early twenties I started working for a travel agent in Malaysia. Over the past decade I have worked at different travel companies in Malaysia. "

Please share a unique travel experience you will never forget.

"One of the most memorable trips I took was to an area called Batang Ai. This area comprises of thick rainforest, some of it still being primary rainforest. Deep in the jungle live the people of the Iban tribe, who used to be heahunters. Spending a few days with the people in their longhouse, while exploring the rivers and forests is one trip I will never forget. "

Our guide Jason was wonderful. He suggested additional things to add to our day with him that were fun, interactive, and allowed us to learn more about the Malay culture. He took us to a local restaurant for lunch that was excellent, and suggested a few places for dinner that were also great.
