Renata Guglielmetti
My passion for traveling, especially in Brazil, started when I was very young. I was a swimmer for over 10 years and with that, I traveled almost all over Brazil to participate in competitions. Every place I went, I was enchanted by the diversity that our country has.
For this reason, I decided to graduate in tourism and started working in the area in 2010, and I haven't stopped since. Working in this area gives me the opportunity to travel and get to know the country more deeply so that I am able and passionate to help hundreds of people seeking to enjoy the best experiences in Brazil.
How did you get involved in travel?
"I was born and raised in Natal, a city in the state of Rio Grande do Norte. Is in northeast of Brazil, is a very famous tourist destination for its amazing beaches and warm waters, but, for me, a small city. Every time I traveled to compete, I saw how big Brazil is, how much natural beauty it has, how much diversity in culture from one city to another and, above all, how welcoming the people of all the regions I went to .
I graduated with a degree in tourism in 2011 and I already worked in a small hotel, after graduation, I went to work in a 5 star hotel, after that, I went to live in the USA for a while, however, my heart was in Brazil and I returned a few months later. When I got back, I started working at an inbound tour operator that specialized in selling Brazil. I spent 6 years in operations, the first 4 years as a consultant and then 2 years supervising the operations team, and now, I'm part of the sales team.
I've had the opportunity to travel and to visit most of the destinations that we offer in Brazil and I love to explore the country whenever I can. After many years I am still in love with my job and all the amazing destinations and natural beauties that my country has to offer."
Please share a unique travel experience you will never forget.
"In 2018 I took the "Rota das Emoções" with my husband to celebrate one year of marriage, this tour is a circuit that passes through the main tourist attractions in Jericoacoara, in Ceará; Delta do Parnaíba, in Piauí; and Lençóis Maranhenses, in Maranhão.. During the trip, I was able to come across wonderful scenery of the Brazilian Northeast. It was a more rustic trip, with many walks in the middle of nature and even in areas of more difficult access (as is the case of Lençóis Maranhenses), but it was very worthwhile.
In Jericoacoara, I took a buggy ride to visit Pedra Furada, Árvore da Preguiça and the crystalline water lagoons. In Barra Grande in Piauí, I was able to relax. There is a village standing on the sand, it has a vibe that invites us to forget about the clock and enjoy every moment and it has a breathtaking sunset. And finally, Lençõis Maranheses, which is the only desert on the planet that has ponds between white sand dunes."
