It sits on the edge of the city's historic center, close to attractions including the Lyon Opera House, Théatre des Célestins, and Musée des Beaux-Arts.

Also in central Old Lyon and within walking distance of the city's main attractions, the College Hotel is a four-star favorite. As the name suggests, this school-themed lodging has converted former classrooms into 40 hotel rooms. In the evening, the windows on the Art Deco facade light up as part of a dramatic light display.

Rooms are bright and well-lit, and many offer a balcony or terrace. Keeping with the school-day theme, breakfast is served in the Cantine, but you can break free from pencils and books at the outdoor La Terrasse bar or Baràgones tapas restaurant and its rooftop bar.

Housed in the former Convent of Visitation, built in 1854, the Fourvière brings history into modernity alongside convenient walking distance to major attractions.
