When is the best time to visit?
Travel to Brazil in April through June or August through October. In July, major tourist draws are often crowded since local schools are on vacation, and the summer months from December through February are often too warm for comfort.
Where to go in Brazil?
Learn how to truly celebrate something in the legendarily vibrant city of Rio de Janeiro or relax in the much slower-paced Santa Teresa. From the country twang of Sertanejo, the reggae of Maranhão, the carimbó music of the Amazon, Brazil is a country to be experienced through the rhythms of its people.
How many days do I need?
While travelers might be tempted to visit Brazil in less than a week, the variety of experiences and destinations within this large country should be experienced over at least twice that amount of time.
To visitors, Rio de Janeiro is an exotic city where color and music flourish. Although the Cariocas (residents of Rio) agree, they know there's much more to their "Wonderful City." Explore irresistible beaches, surf and wooded mountains, the world-famous landmarks of the Pão de Açúcar and Cristo Redentor, and more on this quick immersion into the magic of Rio.
Straddling the triple border between Brazil, Venezuela, and Guyana, Mount Roraima is a perfect destination for adventurous travelers. Spend your days exploring the towering cliffs and unique landscapes of the mountain with the ultimate goal of climbing the summit — known to many as "The Lost World."
Discover Rio de Janeiro: a vibrant and diverse city where emerald blue water, inky green forest, and rocky mountains meet. Explore the lush Costa Verde and the picturesque colonial town of Paraty and visit the island of Ilha Grande to relax on dreamy beaches and enjoy a private boat tour. Get up close to the magnificent Iguazu Falls in all their thundering glory.
Trek one of Brazil's most beautiful routes through the lush Serra dos Órgãos National Park — from Petrópolis to Teresópolis. The trail is known for its breathtaking vistas, steep climbs, and high difficulty rating, so get ready for an incredibly rewarding challenge!
From the Corcovado to Sugarloaf Mountain and Copacabana to Ipanema, this whirlwind tour will sweep you through the best, most famous, and most beautiful beaches, neighborhoods, and mountains that Rio de Janeiro has to offer. Cycle along the endless beaches, hike the largest urban forest in the world, and learn how to cook with Brazilian flare and flavors.

Wondering how to get the most out of your trip to Brazil? First, it's essential to determine how many days you want to travel. If you are passing through, you can take short trips up to three days—think Rio, a mini hiking trek, or a quick beach escape. However, with added time, you can visit two or more completely different regions that combine the best city sights, beaches, rainforests, waterfalls, and hiking Brazil has on offer.
Following the coastline of northeastern Brazil, the "Route of Emotions" takes in some of the country's most breathtaking and little-known landscapes. This 10-day adventure follows the scenic route as you traverse the shifting sand dunes of Lençóis Maranhenses National Park, explore the mangrove swamps of the Preguiças River by boat, and dive into crystal clear waters in the beach paradise of Jericoacoara. After an exhilarating trip to Ilha do Amor by dune buggy, the adventure draws to a close as you reach the waterfront city of Fortaleza.
In just nine days, this exciting itinerary introduces you to some of Brazil's most awe-inspiring landscapes, from massive waterfalls to pristine beaches. The itinerary starts in Argentina — Iguazú Falls span the border between Argentina and Brazil — with a few days of hiking and boating around the spectacular cascades. Then you'll catch a flight to Rio de Janeiro, where world-famous sights like Corcovado and Sugar Loaf Mountain await. Detour to Búzios for a few days of sailing, sunbathing, and fun on the beach. Then wrap up the itinerary with one more full day in Rio before catching a flight out.

Thank you! It was an amazing trip.
All the flights worked out. Very smooth.
Lucas in Rio was awesome. And the tours were great. The bike tour was dangerous to be on busy city streets. Along the beach was fine. But my 12 year old got bumped by a truck on the busy streets with no bike lane. Got a bruise. Luckily it wasn’t worse. Carlos was great on the Corcovado tour. Unfortunately the weather didn’t cooperate. Lots of rain and clouds. But we had a memorable time.
Orico was great at... read more
Amazing Week with Family in Rio!!! · Brazil - May 29 - Jun 4, 2022
We just finished the most amazing family trip to Rio. We were travelling with our two young sons (ages 3 and 10 months), so we needed significant attention, special needs and flexibility. Camille made great recommendations on the tours to book. Our specialized guide, Daniela, was an absolute superstar. She adapted each tour and day to our specific needs and tastes, and was very flexible as the needs of the boys evolved over the days. They absolutely adored her and were excited to see her... read more
